The Easiest No-Knead Crusty Bread

Updated: Oct 7

This is the easiest bread to make and it is perfectly chewy, crusty, and delicious with a bowl or soup or with a fresh salad!

The Easiest No-Knead Crusty Bread

3 cups Bread flour (you can use AP)

2 tsp Sea salt

2.5 tsp Active dry yeast

1.5 cups Tepid water

Directions:

In a large bowl combine flour, salt and yeast, mix with a fork or whisk to combine. Add water and mix together until a loose dough forms (I love my Danish Dough Whisk for this but you can use a wooden spoon). Cover with Saran Wrap (leave a burp hole) and set in a draft free area for 8-10 hours until dough has doubled in size. I like to place mine in the oven with the light on, it will keep it nice and warm and make the yeast happy!

Preheat oven to 450

Place a 3qt Dutch oven to heat up inside (if you don't have a dutch oven, the bread may not come out as chewy since the steam is what gives the bread that amazing texture). Once the Dutch oven is to temperature, carefully remove and sprinkle flour on the bottom, add the dough and sprinkle a little flour over the top. Cover and bake for 20-25 minutes, remove lid and bake for another 10-15 minutes to crisp and brown.

Remove from Dutch oven and cool on a cooling rack before slicing.

Enjoy!
