Easy Pickled Red Onions

These easy pickled red onions with fresh lime pairs perfectly with sandwiches, eggs, salads, chili and so much more!


Easy Pickled Red Onions

1 sanitized 16oz mason jar with canning lid

1 Red onion, 1/4” slices

1/2 cup Distilled White vinegar

1 Lime

1/4 tsp Sea salt

1/8 tsp Black pepper

1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper

Filtered Water

Directions:


Slice a few thin slices out of the lime and add the juice from the ends to the jar. Add the vinegar, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper to jar. Fill with sliced onion and lime slices. Fill with filtered water, seal with the lid, shake to mix and let sit on the counter for at least 4 hours.


Refrigerate and enjoy! Lasts about a month in the fridge!
