It tastes amazing! Let's be honest, we want to eat foods that are not only healthy for us, but also taste delicious! Plus, having good fats is essential to our health, it is one of your macronutrients!
It is stable to cook with at higher temperatures! More delicate oils break down at higher temperatures and become inflammatory, so duck fat is a great option when roasting or sautéing at higher temps!
Duck fat is high in the essential fatty acid linoleic acid (omega-6), which is necessary in cellular health, and in oleic acid which supports immune health!

Duck Fat Roasted Sweet Potato Fries Ingredients:
2 medium Sweet Potatoes
1 Tbsp Duck Fat, melted
1 Tbsp fresh Rosemary, minced
1 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
Optional: 1 tsp Crushed red pepper
How to make Duck Fat Roasted Sweet Potato Fries:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
In a large bowl combine the duck fat, sea salt, rosemary and crushed red pepper. Give it a quick stir to combine.
Cut the ends off the sweet potatoes and then cut them into 1/4-1/2" wide x 3" sticks. Add to the bowl with your duck fat and seasonings.
Spread over a parchment lined baking sheet in a thin layer, use multiple baking sheets if necessary.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and crips on the top. Sprinkle over more fresh rosemary and enjoy with your favorite mains!
